We have 103 degree temps today...heat index 110 - ridiculous weather...not to mention the extreme drought conditions here in Alabama...miserable summer. Blah... We had a thunderstorm here at 4:30 and it cooled things down a bit...I think it is 92 now at 5:00. Unfortunately not enough rain to do anything but make it nice and steamy...anyone for a sauna?

drinking that water - to be sure.

Enjoy the summer whilst you can.

Spring has sprung in my part of Oz, hardenbergia and wattle are beginning to flower in the bush and on the roadsides.

eastern ontario - near the lake :
summer is beginning to wind down , high of 28 C - about 80 F , overnight about 17 C .
it's been extremely dry the last several weeks - lawns are brown and grass crisp - plenty of rain just 50 miles to the south and north of here , but rain is staying away from the shores of lake ontario .

It's currently 105 and sunny in Athens, GA Cool

We have hit or exceeded 100 degrees 18 times this month with 7 record highs.

September is normally the hottest month here... so I've got that to look forward to.

I heard that Atlanta is on track for the hottest August on record and perhaps the hottest month on record. Sounds horrid.

They say it "feels" like 103 but, after 100, who's counting?
I gotta go water...where's my hat?

103 here today...Montgomery had a 12 day streak of over 100 - Birmingham 11 days and Huntsville 10 - it has been miserable. Not to mention we are in the middle of what they are calling an exceptional drought. We are having to cut back on water drastically. I have been freezing small bottled waters for my boys to have on the ride home. They are so hot by the time they get home. I want the trend to be broken...just don't know what it will take to do it.

Then pack your bags and move down here to southern California, mismi.

I LOVE Sea World...I know they would too. I use to go to SanDiego with my dad all the time when I was in high school. I loved it. It would be too hard to move away from all my family here in Alabama...far cry from there though...love the weather there!
