SO glad we don't live in Raleigh anymore!

SO glad we're not home in Philly right now either, in 96 degrees.

Baby M & I needed fleece jackets to go out to the park today, here in the Bay Area, CA. It's 73 degrees right now and not a drop of humidity.

73. In August? I'd hate it.
Give me the heat!

It's about 75 F with a nice breeze here in southern California.
Just perfect!
I don't like heat or humidity. Mad

We planned to go to the State Fair tomorrow. That involves a lot of walking around in the open, going on rides (in the open), and ducking into sweltering un-air-conditioned barns to admire baby pigs and such. Checked the weather:

Quote:
A HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM EDT FRIDAY.

A HEAT ADVISORY IS ISSUED WHEN HIGH HUMIDITIES ARE EXPECTED TO
COMBINE WITH HOT TEMPERATURES TO MAKE IT FEEL LIKE IT IS
100 DEGREES OR GREATER. PERSONS IN THE ADVISORY AREA ARE ADVISED
TO AVOID PROLONGED WORK IN SUN...OR IN POORLY VENTILATED AREAS.
ALSO...KEEP PLENTY OF LIQUIDS ON HAND AND TRY TO STAY IN AN AIR
CONDITIONED ENVIRONMENT. CHILDREN...THE ELDERLY AND PEOPLE WITH
CHRONIC AILMENTS ARE USUALLY THE FIRST TO SUFFER FROM THE HEAT.
HEAT EXHAUSTION...CRAMPS...OR IN EXTREME CASES HEAT STROKE CAN
RESULT FROM PROLONGED EXPOSURE TO THESE CONDITIONS. FRIENDS...
RELATIVES...OR NEIGHBORS SHOULD CHECK ON PEOPLE WHO MAY BE AT
RISK.

Um. Yeah. Maybe not tomorrow. (Or Thursday... goldarnit.)

Ugh. 75 with 95% humidity right now. Going up to 88. Not as bad as you but still very swampy.

Bear -- after the ride -- are you now a melted puddle of bear (yet stylish, of course)?

slick with sweat... probably a good time for my porn close up.... but the camera man wouldn't want to be downwind Laughing

It's going to be just as hot today and I will ride again. I find that after riding in all that heat I can generally drink water by the gallon for the rest of the day and yet never urinate.

I think as long as you follow up a day like that with lots of hydration your body will keep what it needs and send it to organ muscle and tissue until it has all it wants... then start letting you eliminate.

Of course I'm no doctor, but I do occasionally spend the night in a Holiday Inn Express....

Yes, I like some heat in the summer myself. But, it's nice to have a little cool break from the summer insanity that is Philly right now.

It is 90 degreees here at 5:30 p.m. That in itself is not so unusual this time of year, except that the dew point is 79. That makes the "real feel" or temperature humidity index at 105 degrees.

Sorta like a hot, damp blanket! Sad

Oy, that's unbearable. Needless to say, a climate like this makes a perm
redundant.
