how many kilojoules are in a litre of petrol?
i just want to put it in perspective of how efficient my body is in converting energy vs a car.
also what has a greater concentration of energy, a litre of petrol or a teaspoon.
Some ideas:
10 gallons of gasoline = 1.25 million BTU
1 cal = 251.996 BTU
1 joule = 4.18 cal
1 joule = 1054.35 BTU
1200 joules to push 2 tons at least 160 kms, damn efficient!
question: where the hell does all the energy that i consume go?
Your body is at a pretty consistent warm temperature. That's where a lot of it goes.

i am very unimpressed
the ability to run half a thousand miles really out-cools the thermostat.
Drink however many liters you like; I suggest you don't smoke while doing so.
when I was 18 I worked at a rock quarry for a time, one of the first and few regular jobs I ever had.
The quarry superintendent, a third grade educated mean sob named Roy was once nipped and bitten by one of the stray dogs that hung around the quarry. He grabbed that dog by the scruff of the neck and by the gas pumps where the Euclids and trucks were fueled, stuck a nozzle up the dogs ass and pumped in about .30 worth I kid you not.
That poor dog took off howling like the devil was after him, ran around about three times and dropped.
