The passing of which famous person will hit you really hard?

For me it will definitely be Mick Jagger.

I've been deeply saddened by the deaths of movie stars such as Katharine Hepburn, Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewart and the like, but mainly because I grew up watching their movies. But, these were my parents (and grandparents) contemporaries and that they would pass sooner than later was a given.

However, Mick (even though a few years older) is MY contemporary. His music has been a constant throughout my entire life. When he goes, I think I may be in a deep funk for a long while.

I was certainly floored by the sudden death of John Lennon, but that was not of natural causes. It didn't mean that age and infirmity had struck.

I know this all has to do with coming to grips with one's own mortality.

I want to say Madonna(obviously) but I have read that all her religious studies have prepared her for the 'big event' and I know she will be ok with it.But I reckon itl still be pretty traumatic for fans.

I cant say any famous persons death has traumatised me, greatly upset me yes, but its more of a shock really.Princess Diana dying, so young, and the way she did was horrid.I suppose we think famous people can buy themselves out of death.

I was devastated when Elvis died. I have a feeling I'll be similarly devastated when Paul Newman bites the dust.
