Hi me again.
124D. Repeatly punched. I have P?M?E?L?D. It could be either POMMELLED or PUMMELLED. Not sure.
215D. Barbarism. I have SAVAG??Y. It could be SAVAGELY or SAVAGERY. Not Sure.
170. Arrive. C?ME. Could be CAME or COME. Not sure.

My answers are:
124d = pummelled
215d = savagery
170d = come
Someone may verify above.

You may find this hint helpful, Lissy. Check the actual wording of the clue to avoid some of the confusion that can arise. For instance, Barbarism is a noun, as is Savagery. For Savagely, an adverb, the clue would need to be an adverb also, so it would be Barbarously. Similarly, Arrive is present tense, as is Come. Came is past tense and would be the right word to use for Arrived.
I know that sounds pretty basic stuff, but it is amazing how often this sort of confusion does occur.
