Hi, margo.

Don't feel behind the times alone.

I never heard of Yelp or Netflix . . .

We all have our own poison, I guess.

I have a stack of large uhaul, gag, boxes in my living room as we speak, Boomer. I need to detape and break them down by Friday, as the final batch of stuff is moving on in on Saturday.

I'm not letting go of them, however, since I'll be doing some selling on CraigsList, and I may need some of them at some point, not least as painting protectors.

So, have any of you sold on CraigsList? Any cautions for me?

I sell stuff all the time.

in fact, right now I have about 5 cymbals, 4 microphones and some toys for sale.

I would say, above the obvious scams, watch out for the people who want to barter.
They end up giving you **** for your stuff and dissappearing into the night.

Who knew?

Craigslist actually has a presence in Australia -although it doesn't seem to be working that well.

It has sites in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth - all the biggies.

I clicked on the medical - in the jobs section - and got the message about the outage and the elves. I clicked on another job area - and got listings in Whistler, Canada - not terribly useful if I'm living here. The commute would be a stinker!

Real estate was interesting. Among mostly US listings, there was one for Sydney, with a price quoted in US dollars - $US985,000. Although - the way the US dollar is going down against the Oz dollar - it's probably better listed in Oz dollars!

I'm probably not going to rush for it - I suspect it's in an area of town that's probably not exactly me.

Fasciinating!

Thanks, Dupre, for drawing this to my attention Razz

So, I just got a PM from Roger.

I missed it all when he was in the hospital, because I was on Craigslist.

What else have I missed?

Can I get an A2K In Review for May, June, and July?

Gershwin style, please.

Roger's had a tough time in River City.

Lola and Bernie have moved from shore to shore.

ehBeth is signed up for a Recital of Belly Dancing

people talk about meeting in San Francisco at the end of August

Ellpus is still missing in action;

various other things are going on, but I need to check the soup.

Hey, ossobuco.

That's a good start!

Maybe ehBeth will dance for us in San Francisco and Ellpus will be there . . .

Roger was so nice to me when I started riding a bike and had questions about changing gears.

It's so sad what happened to him. Sounds like it was/is a really difficult time.

I saw Montana's post at Roger's thread. She's such a nice girl.

Any word from Setanta?
