GPS

I've been reading all these Xmas gift guides and keep seeing GPS systems pop up. Sounds like a fantastic gift, especially the TomTom, they apparently are giving $100 off their products which would make the new one only $400.. I've heard good things about TomTom maps and the easy-to-use functionality so I am definitely considering this for the boyfriend this year. I'm looking for any feedback I can get on these products. TIA .
