In my role as an Energy Loss Surveyor, selling thermal insulation for manufacturing and production sites/facilities I come into contact with many industries.
Commercial laundries, breweries, food manufacture/production, chemical and plastics, pharmacutecals and other large facilities such as hospitals and leisure facilities.
I measure exposed areas of pipe-work and boiler faces, vessels and valves, flanges, tees etc. feeding these into a formulated spreadsheet to establish heat loss, comparing agianst the insulated solution suggested provides a repayment on investment calculation (absorbing the cost of insulation into the current losses) therefore showing a operating cost reduction after repyment has occurred.
