Retired attorney, sharing residences between New Hampshire, USA and Montreal, Canada. I closely follow political issues on both sides of the border. I have also lived in Europe (London, Paris) and Asia (Hong Kong, Taipei).

I have and still travel extensively. My current interests are centered a lot about the current Middle East conflict and its challenges. While I say I am retired, that is only from the legal profession. I currently work with and for a large human relief agency, my area of authority being the Middle East. As a result, I spend in fact more time in Israel and Palestine and other Middle East countries than the combine time I spend either in America or Canada. Before that, still for the agency, I spend a lot of time in various African nations. I have spend in the last twelve years more time that I care to in war zones from Somalia to South America not forgetting the Israeli/Palestine conflict. I am multilingual. Frequent contributor to human rights groups and “expert” witness for both legislative bodies and mainstream media. I consider myself a capitalist humanist. My politics are left from center whatever that might mean.

Also a proud parent and grandfather.

Used to be a ardent Abuzzer and wonder what has happened of my old friends and foes.
