I love singing, I treasure my vocal cords more then most of my other organs, which seems irrational, but i couldn't stand being a mute on top of the never going to sing again. my vocal cords are smaller then 90% of other baritones because my "Adam's Apple" is abnormally large.
I'm not sure if it matters, but I can't see any other reason then that to make my range at its best about 7 octaves, from a baritone's lows, low in the 3rd octave, to the highest I ever recorded (with the assistance of my ACTUALLY musically inclined brother (I'm not musically inclined), an A flat 8 (whistle note). but I hit a higher note before my range quickly went away down about an octave and a quarter.
you might be wondering what that note was, I'm happy to tell you what I think, but in all honesty, and happily so. I don't have pitch perfect hearing, and no one around heard it, and I was so clouded with the joy of my own vocal range that I forgot to record it, but in my most accurate guess, it was about 4-5 notes higher, so a D 9 or an E 9.
I won't blame you for not believing me. especially because I got a nasty nasty bacterial cold with the hardest coughs I ever experienced, leaving me breathless from the chaos, with my voice almost completely lost (I never dealt with a lost voice in my life so far, probably never will again). I had a performance for a graduation ceremony. and I only had about 4-5 notes in my range, so through half the song, I was whispering (because I couldn't hit the notes), and through the other half, I was singing quietly. I will be seeking help on how to get her back, I will never forgive myself for the loss if I don't get her back.
if anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to try it out, and if anyone knows, do tell me asap.
