Crossed fingers for Bear.
several possibilities, none of which are serious or life threatening. Treating with anitbiotics in case it's a prostate or bladder infection although he said my prostate seemed normal.
His best bet is that I'm trying to pass a stone. I've done that before.
It was a BIT unnerving when I noticed that while examining my prostate I could feel BOTH his hands on my shouldrs... but he gave me a nice glass of port and it calmed me down.
Oy!
That sounds better.
Don't stones hurt like ****?
Bear, did you mention the red beet juice too?
Well, I am glad you're in good hands now, and things will be taken
care of. No peeing in the snow.
Did you get invited out to dinner before or after the prostrate exam?
No kidding, hope it's not serious.

(Glad all is well enough.)
Stones suck. Are you a soda drinker, bear?
You know it's been stated before about practicing medicine. The doctors are, after all, just practicing. I had a trace of blood in my urine nearly two years ago and they acted like this was alarming, put me through all sorts of tests (two of them not comfortable tests at all) and...nothing. The second urine test a couple of months later showed negative. I'm still wondering why I wasn't put on antibiotics first.
Of course, I do take nettle root which is recommended by Dr. Weil.
I'm thinking too that you're passing a stone, so FreeDuck's soda wouldn't work as well as a good shot of whiskey.
Oh, I'm not suggesting he drink a soda, I'm suggesting he abstain if he is a regular drinker as I have a (completely unscientific) hunch they contribute. Beer, on the other hand, I believe has been shown to help keep them from forming.
So have a good beer, Bear.
Right, carbonation is not a good.
I that's right about beer -- I'd like to Google that.
Thanks for letting us know, Bear. The stones don't sound very pleasant themselves, but they seem better than various alternatives.
I seem to recall there is an ultra-sound treatment for stones. It's suppose to pulverize them without harm to the surrounding tissue.

there is, but it would add several zeros to the bill.
Glad that it seems under control. Get better soon.
