Have you seen her paintings. My friend (a dj) interviewed her for an art show.

Panzade how is your music coming?

I had a falling out with my experimental band and my folk partner has a newborn and a 1 and a half year old so I am dead in the water.

Time to pull out the acoustic and the harmonica (with holder)and brush up on those 12 bar blues.

Amigo...como anda?

I missed your posts for awhile

I started playing with a blues band occasionally and it's a blast. Monster guitar player and his wife sings all the songs...lot of Tab Benoit, Colin James and Johnny Lang

The gallery chain I worked for couple of years back had two shows with Grace Slick. We wrote up most of the art to new buyers, Jefferson Airplane groupies (mostly due to advertising in alternative press periodicals in the OC). She's been clean and sober for, I believe, about fifteen years now. I had to laugh when she made a comment about one of the guests at the opening getting really looped. Nothing worse than a reformed druggie/alcoholic. I had burned a disc from Napster with their Greatest Hits which was played in the background. Heard later that she didn't mind it although she always had nixed the idea for gallery openings in the past.

Her art is naive with, big surprise, a lot of Alice in Wonderland subject matter (remember "White Rabbit"?)

WHITE RABBIT (G. Slick)
One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small,
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anything at all.
Go ask Alice
When she's ten feet tall.
And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you're going to fall,
Tell 'em a hookah smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call.
Call Alice
When she was just small.
When the men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go
And you've just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving low.
Go ask Alice
I think she'll know.
When logic and proportion
Have fallen sloppy dead,
And the White Knight is talking backwards
And the Red Queen's "off with her head!"
Remember what the dormouse said:
"Feed your head. Feed your head. Feed your head"
