This is a very swell video of Paul Anka on Japanese TV. I heard that usually, the Japanese audience is pretty quiet and reserved, so what a surprise! This is really fun to watch. It is a nice example of what great entertainer Paul Anka is.

Paul Anka is about 65 years old. It' amazing that the Japanese people can be so restrained at the Roling Stones yet go so gaga over Paul Anka!
I think maybe it is because Anka had been to Japan quite early in his career so they know him well. Besides, he knows how to draw the audience to him. He is really one of the best entertainers I have ever seen.
About the Rolling Stones, maybe it is their attitude to other people? I read a few times that they don't say hi when fans say hi to them.
You're on target with his age, Nick. Paul will be 66 on July 30.
I;ve always had a soft spot for Paul Anka. When I was a teenybopper, I could imagine being the Diana he sang about.
I have also heard that he is a truly decent man.
