'for dummies' series of books are good one, I believe they have one on how to start your own business...actually checked they have but for an INTERNET BUSINESS.

Except experience, you can also use studying what other people do...go to a biz and see how they operate and work and all that...study some business models, be in touch with the real world coz those biz. people know how to tell philosophy a lot
