I realize that everyone has different habits and that no one will have the exact same gas or electric bill but I would like an estimate. If we are careful to turn all lights off and no leave the heat or air running all the time what will my average gas and electric bill be for a 3 bedroom town home?
This really depends on where you are, the age (tightness) of the house, how the utilities are set up (gas heat vs electric, air conditioning, hot water, etc) and the local utility rates.

The house is about 30 years old but insulated pretty well. It's gas heat, Central A/C, hotwater heater is electric. Any ideas?
angel...we don't know where on the planet you live.
You could be in Helsinki, Hawaii or Equador for all we know.
we also don't know the rate the electric and gas company charges.
I think you need to call your utility company and ask them some questions about what the average usage is.

Good Point... I live in Cheyenne, Wyoming. It's cold during the winter but we have average summers. Is there a way to look up online what the rates are?
