What if all the world was only in black and white?

Would it still be possible for us to dream in colour?

---

What if everyone was incapable of telling a lie?

Would we get used to the truth?
Would feelings be hurt?

---

What if the colour of oranges were red?

Would we still call them oranges?

---

What if everyone always followed the Golden Rule?

Would this negate the need for any laws?
Would we have to lock up masochists?

I think the world would be a much quieter place.
If you eliminated all the sound of lies being told at any given moment, I wonder what the percentage of talk would be left to hear?

You raise an interesting point.

What if we all were psychics?

Would telephones ever have been invented?

---

What if there was no alcohol, drugs, or gambling?

Would there still be addicts?
Would we find something else to become addicted to?

Of course there would still be addicts, because people can become addicted to anything.

and the orange question...I believe the fruit was named first, so we'd still be having orange juice for breakfast, but it would be red in color.

What if artists were the highest paid group of individuals in the world?

Would we see a majority of students take up various arts as a profession?
Would we see a lot of untalented people in the arts?
Would the quality of art increase?

What if cavemen were alive today, what would they be nostalgic for?

Would they yearn for a simpler life, or revel in modern conveniences?

---

What if all men and women had to wear the same clothes, a uniform?

Would there be a rebel born that would dare to wear something different, thrown into jail?
Would there be a revolution for the right to have individual styles?

---

What if nobody ever needed sleep?

Would the world be a better place?
Would we find solutions to all our problems?
Would there be more crime?
Would this affect population growth?

What if neighbors got along and respected each other?

Would there still be a need for fences?

Of course. Some people still need to define their space.
Also, the dogs would be running wild.

What if the guy who first slapped two pieces of bread around some meat was named Jones instead of Sandwich?

Even lower order animals mark their territory. You have a choice, pee along your boundary or fence it.

What if Edgar and Reyn joined two threads together?

Would it be called "I think what if", or "What if I think"?

What if this thread had not been instigated, but, instead, kicky started another of his three word threads?

What if there were no reflective surfaces. Would we still care what we look like?

Yes, quite possibly. Maybe I should start a 4 letter thread?

hehe, Perhaps we would rely on others to tell us? Of course, they could say we were perfect, when in fact we had two noses.

It wouldn't be the double snout that bothered me, but rather the possibility for two lone buggers visibly located there without my knowing.
