the kind of wealth that would insulate you from all problems, you and your heirs for generations to come.... the kind of wealth that would mean you could do anything you wanted, or would never have to do anything you didn't want... and you were above accountability for your actions....
would you take the life of another human being? In this scenario it is guaranteed you will not be caught or brought to accountability in this lifetime.

There's no amount of money that could insulate you from all problems. Right after getting all that money, you could get cancer of the dick or something (wow, this new avatar is making me feel, I dunno, manly or something)
If you were rich enough you could get your dick cut off and even though no sex would suck, you'd still have a pretty cool life.
and besides, if you can't cut the mustard you can always lick the jar.

There are reasons for which I could kill. Money ain't one of 'em.
I wouldn't dignify so hypothetical a question with a purely hypothetical answer. If I said yes--in order to sound "liberated"--I would have no confidence that I could be able to do it in reality. And if I said no--in order to sound moral--I would have no confidence that in the face of an opportunity to have unlimited wealth I would be able to resist the act.
It would ultimately amount to a conflict between value (not to kill under any circumstance) and interest (be as rich as possible).

Well, that would depend on who it was. Jeffrey Dahmer, Slobodan Milsevic, or Carrot-Top, sure. Andy Rooney, maybe.

I wouldn't kill just for financial comfort. I wouldn't really be able to enjoy it. But then, I'm not a sociopath.

okay, I keep getting this let's stipulate that no amount of money can protect you from accident, illness or conscience.
Enough money can make your illness comfortable and managable in a lot of cases...
If you're willing to do this you shouldn't worry about conscience....
I think enough money will pretty much insulate you from all other problems....
