grey box at bottom of firefox!

I downloaded Mozilla Firefox and everything is all fine except for a two inch grey box at the bottom of the screen that I can't get to go away.

Anyone else have this?

Grey box (Eucalyptus microcarpa) are a known harbour for foxes. But how you managed to get a 50 ft tall eucalypt in your computer is beyond me.
