Can anyone help me with this phrase translation into English?
fortiorum fortia facta
It's a motto for my wife's maiden surname. She's into genealogy and would like to know what it's meaning is.
Thanks....
It is the motto of the family, among others, whose surname is variously spelled Stark or Starke. A literal translation would be "Strong Deeds of Strong Men," although the word "strong" might also be replaced by "brave." Indeed, the motto is sometimes given in English translation as "Brave Deeds of Brave Men" or "Brave Deeds of Strong Men".
Thank you kindly for your help.
@Reyn,
