Last year our utility company (Gas/Elec) sent us a letter suggesting "budget billing" where we pay (upon their analysis) a set monthly amount so that our bill would average out over the year. We agreed and accepted their suggestion and set our banking bill pay to the amount they suggested. We are now $615 positive and they are requesting that we stop our auto bill pay because we have a positive. I think this policy is inconsistent with the premise and continue with the rate they set and hope that by this time next near we will have in excess $1,000 (makes me feel somewhat secure) ( I am thinking that we should donate some of our excess to the fund for those unable to pay their current energy charges).
You could donate some for getting more RAM for this ploddingly slow website.
Or, I saw some darling Enzo Angiolini's the other day....

A guy from EDF energy tried to sell me gas (natural gas...methane) the other day. Their gas is better than home grown British Gas, because EDF is a French company (Electricite de France no less) who cook up most of their electrons from uranium...and they have an electric cable through to the sea to England. So it made perfect sense that their gas is cheaper and they buy it from Sweden anyway, so I signed up immediately.
Compared with that, buying a pair of shoes must be a nightmare.
ps. If you really want to get them agitated, ask them what rate of interest they pay you on credit balances.

Why should the utility company collect interest on your money?
