I consider myself a writer, although I don't read (the same stuff I write) and well, am not a big reading.
Can you be a writer and not so much enjoy reading ah ha ha ha. Or is Acepilot crazy... :wink:
Enjoying reading is probably just something I have to learn ah ha.
Reading more and different things, and stretching to read difficult material, tends to make a person a better writer.

When I first became a writer my mentor said "write what you know". It stands to reason, if you don't read, you are not going to know much. I strongly suggest you read as much as you can, examine the writing styles of the various writers, contemplate what you read. THEN write.
