Not to slight sunsets, but, I love the early morning air. I arrive on the job either immediately before, during, or after sunrise, depending on the time of year. In Houston, the oppressive heat mars the enjoyment of sunset most days of the year.
I have to say that i love sunsets near the lagoon. the reflection of teh sun in the water is lovely, it's a perfect time to meditate. Also the sunsets in the beach are cool, but in the lagoon are much better.
Sunsets in the city can be spectacular. There's just enough pollution to make the colors of the sky seem magical.
Here's a treat for you sunset lovers... A friend shot it from his boat at Lake St. Louis. Mother Nature painted a real purdy one that night.

Thanks so much, Butr, how beautiful!
I love sunrises over the Pacific ocean especially, but I prefer sunsets almost anywhere...they are so romantic <sigh>...
Sunsets are great. But so few of us are around for sunrises, they are much rarer and get my vote. I remember sitting on the shores of lake Michigan while on vacation in the U.P. and watching the sun come up. Quite a spectacle.
Equus, one of my most wonderful sunrise memories is from north of your spot. North shore of Lake Superior. Wild waves, clouds dashing back and forth, and then a moment of s t i l l as the sun came up. :: sigh ::
edit to turn this into English - i've been working in German on another site - and my translations are getting a bit toooooo literal
One shot from one of my favorite sunsets ever!
