They're one of the early, legendary CBGB bands. Don't really know much about them, other than that Debbie Harry hasn't aged well. She looks about 20 years older than she is.

Be right back.

Thanks set.

I heard a rumor that she attributes her "youthful looks" (???!!!) to years of heroin use. Wonder if it's true.

Well, i many be simply being unkind here, but the last time i saw her on the teevee, she looked like 30 miles of bad road.

Hell, Set, she's 61! I guess she was on tv 5 years ago (?). She didn't look so bad for late 50s then.

Yeah, she's got great cheek bones, i suspect she has a Slavic heritage given her facial structure, although, of course, that's just speculation. But she was adopted, so who knows. Maybe i can find something.

Lil' Kay, i saw her about 10 years ago, and she appeared, to me, to look as though she were a lot older than 50--but, it doesn't matter. All that really matters is whether or not she's comfortable in her own skin.

There's lots of Debbie Harry stuff online, but i can't get past the "adopted at three months of age" in her bio. Very likely, there is no longer a record of her birth mother, or who her father was.

I've always thought she had a Slavic appearance, and the cheekbones are a major part of that, combined with the shape of her head.

Take a look at Keith Richard, how young looking has drug use kept him?

My granny was 97 when she died and she looked at least 40 years younger than Keith Richard, for christ sakes when they do a video of their songs they have to blot out his face because of how he looks with the "benefits" of drug abuse Confused

She was one hell of a good looking lady when younger!!

I think she could still be good looking but she waers such dark/innapropriate make up now.If she wore lighter colours she'd look 20 years younger. And her clothes are awful now too.
She needs to be Trinny and Susannah'd.

1945? really? I saw her at CBGB's around 1980 and she looked very young and very sexy. She definitely was doing her share of drugs, but you couldn't see it in her face or her performance. I think she also worked the streets in the early years. To think she is only a decade younger than my mother makes ME feel old.

They toured Australia in the late 1970s and she was quoted as saying her only memory of the tour was 'great smack' ie Heroin.

My miracle database says her birthdate is 1 July 1945, in Miami Florida, she was once a waitress in the Playboy Bunny Club and appeared in the following movies: The Foreigner, Union City, Hairspray, The Killbillies, Intimate Strangers.

My atrocious memory says she put her post blondie career on hold to care for long time partner Chris Stein. My database says the condition he had was Pemphigus - what the heck is that?
