My husband is a wonderful musician and music teacher. Since his retirement, he has turned his hand to writing his own music. As a church organist his first pieces included a mass, a communion anthem and of course, a Christmas hymn. With the aid of a computer program, he has printed the full score as well as the choral parts with words etc., and created a CD.
My question is, how does one go about publishing new music?
Any suggestions, thoughts or ideas would be appreciated!
I have some friends on another forum who are into liturgical music,
altough I don't know whether any of them have published. I'll raise the
question and let you know if I find out anything.
Thanks George!!! Anything you can find out would be greatly appreciated!

No problem.
Maybe I'll get out the old guitar and write some too (not a chance!).
Go ahead George, I'll bet you could write some awesome tunes!!!
This is from my friend Pete:
George - in Catholic circles there are three pubilshing companies that are used GIA out of Chicago / OCP out of Portland, Oregon / World Library out of Chicago - there are more smaller ones, but the preponderance of what makes it to the "pews" is from them - someone would be in touch with one of those companies and submit material the way you submit anything for publication - - - - -
