Just to stir the turd a bit . . . most of Niagara Falls is in Canada, and not the United States. In fact, the spectacular Horseshoe Falls are on the Canadian side, while the American side is far less imposing, due to the large amount of stone piled up at the base.

On the Canadian side, the riverside of the Niagara River, above and below the Falls, is a park. On the American side, you've got power plants and chemical companies.

You should probably drop Niagara Falls from your list, Gus--from an American perspective, its more of an embarrassment than a national symbol.

Allen-Bradley Time
The Allen-Bradley Clock Tower is one of the most recognizable
landmarks in Milwaukee. Listed in the Guinness Book of Records
as the world's largest four-faced clock, it is really four separate clocks.
Each of the octagonal faces is nearly twice the size of the clocks on
London's Big Ben.
Each hour hand is 15 feet, 9 inches long and weighs
490 pounds. Each minute hand is 20 feet long and weighs 530 pounds.
The hour markings are 4 feet high.

Maybe twice the size - but in this case size DOESN'T matter.

My...but it's impressive, isn't it?
