Seriously, it is my favorite holiday.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, eat lots, drink a little, watch some football, and spend time with friends and family.

Drive safe A2K.

Thanks, cj, and may you and your family have a great one. Be careful, now. Don't fan like a turkey or you may get shot. Razz (that really happened to one of my friends)

I admit I didn't look at this thread until I saw littlek's name attached to it. I thought it was going to be a picture of half gutted turkey- or something worse.
Happy T'Day to you cjhsa and everyone else who braves this thread.

Ha! I thought I would regret looking for the exact same reason. Glad to have taken the chance.

Happy Thanksgiving to all you lot over there in the New World.

It sounds like Christmas, but shorter and cheaper. I wish we had something similar.

Happy Thanksgiving!!! I can't wait to eat today. It's only 4:50 a.m. my time, so lunch/dinner seems so far away!!!

I plan on wearing elastic pants over to my friend's house today. Shocked

True story: My colleague's brother was hunting wild turkeys and secreted in a blind. He looked through the cover to see his hunting buddy aim a rifle at his exact spot. He waved his arms as a signal, and his buddy thought that it was a turkey fanning and shot him. He survived, but was blinded in one eye.

Hey, Victor. Happy breakfast day. <smile>

Swimp, hi and that was funny. I think Cheney may be in Iraq. Young techie friends are doing everything. Ain't it wonderful?

Oh my, Letty. Blinded in a blind.

While there is dispute about whether the Pilgrims or the Jamestown colonialists had the first Thanksgiving, credit for establishing it formally belongs to Abe Lincoln. He made a procamation in 1863 (I think), in the pepths of the Civil War, calling for a national day of thanks giving. He repeated the proclamation the next year.

I hope yall have an enjoyable day and weekend full of good food and surrounded by equally enjoyable friends and family.
