Wow, what a parculiar woman. Razz I think you need to have a clearer and more secure picture of what it is you're putting you money into, so that when it comes to having to put money where it needs to be you're more confident. You can do this by making a little Pros vs Cons list. Will it be beneficial in the long run? Will you be happy with what you've soent it on? Is it worth it? Can you earn the money back? etc.

(Sorry if I'm rambling and am completely off topic :S)

Good luck!

Your not rambling.
Thanks for your ideas.

I seem to be able to do beneficial things for others but not myself.
I shall write a list of pro's and cons, thanks.

I have exactly the same problem. I am a man, and I just cannot seem to stop spending money, often buying things on whim !!

you need a to do some projections.

This sets out what you believe you can sell, how much it will cost to make, what you need to make it where you will sell the products etc etc. the best way to do this is sit down and start writing stuff down. it doesnt matter weather its a cost, a material a sales point marketing strategey or what putting these things in order comes a little later.
Learn about SWOT analysis(es).

Once you have some projections and analysises start to cost how much it will cost to make the products and what materials will cost. Include fixed costs as well as variable costs.

Set some of the money you make aside to spend on new materials.
Keep it in a totally different account.

That way you don't have to break into your savings.

My heads going wobbly bonkers with trying to work out costs.Obviously Im trying to find good but cheap suppliers so I can then sell the goods on for a price people will be willing to pay.

Yep, profits will go on more materials to help me along and Id love to open a new account but Im not very up to date with how finances/credit cards etc work.
I dont even have a credit card.

All I can think to myself is that, I have absolutely no reason to go ahead and do this.
So why am I having a problem with getting on with it?!Im way too cautious i think, been saving all my life, not spending.

Some self butt kicking is needed.

Seeing the problem, I think, is the first step to conquering it!
