I have to throw in this tidbit. The song came out in the late sixties, and was banned on some radio stations because the background beat suggested the sound of car windshield wipers. Combined with the "rhapsondy" type lyrics, that added up, at the time, to being too close to suggesting sex in the back seat of a car during the rain. No, I'm not making this up.
