The Loew's Paradise on the Grand Concourse in the Bronx. A spectacular old movie theater of epic proportions. The ceiling was a night sky (stars and clouds). The walls showed the silhouette of an Italian town. The balcony alone was bigger than most theaters today. The last time I passed that place, it was six or seven theaters.
Going there was an event. My high school graduation was there.
Adventureland sounds an awful lot like Kings Castle land for me. It was horrible, but as a child I loved it! It was closed down quite a while ago, but decided to do a google search. It appears that one of the children of the owners has a website dedicated to showing pictures that people send in from their time at Kings Castle land.
