Just wondering, if Bush really leads with "Stay course" against Noddy's "Hold your dominion"?
Depending on whom you believe (YouTube: more than 110 times for Bush; official White House documents: 52 times in public; Tony Snow: 8 times; Bush: never), the numbers for "Hold you dominion" can't be that bad.
Any guesses or - even better - bets?
Interesting comparison, Walter.
There are many times when I'd rather eat crow than stay the course.
Hold your dominion sounds more purposeful.
Put "hold your dominion" on Google and you get a link to Noddy on A2K. Wonderful.
Politically it won't run as it (hold your dominion) smacks of Imperialism.
Tarah--
You mean I beat Mary Baker Eddy? That makes my day.
Hold your dominion.
Georgie should have gone with 'Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!' I think it would have served him much better than 'Stay the course.'; even though, we aren't in a battle at sea. Somehow it suits him.
Yep, Noddy, you're number 1.
And I have to thank you for mentioning Mary Baker Eddy. I'd not heard of her before and now I've all about what she achieved.
Tarah--
Mary Baker Eddy wrote: "God has given us dominion over the things of this earth and I intend to hold that dominion."

I have a feeling that Bush feels he's been given a heavenly mandate to bring democracy (and free trade) to the heathens in the Middle East and that his God doesn't approve of quitters.
Let us now praise the 22nd amendment to the Constitution:
Quote:No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once."
Wish we had borrowed that amendment for our PM.
Tarah--
It's never too late.
Quote:No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once."
You know, I don't remember that part of the 2nd Amendment, but it does seem VERY apropos, doesn't it?
