Babs, I have never successfully dowloaded a song from Winmx. What am I doing wrong?
Hi Swimpy,
I have trouble with the program also, likely my PC is too old. I used WinMX up until about a year ago with great success, but then for some reason I can't recall, I deleted it from my hard drive. When I downloaded the program again about three months ago, I found they had brought out this "new & improved" version. Now it takes me about 10 or 15 minutes to get connected ... as opposed to a few seconds under the old regime ... and, once I am logged on, the download speed, for some unapparent reason, is like maybe 2 or 3 kbs, even though mine is a T1 connection and I'm linked to, say, a T3 user. I don't feel like waiting 900+ minutes to download something which used to take as little as eleven seconds, so basically, I ain't usin' it. Pity really ... it's a good source for all classes of music.
Debacle, I doubt it is your computer. Mine is pretty fast and I have the same problem. The search works fine. I suspect it is that most of the users one finds are not on line when I'm trying to download.
For CD quality stream which has a fine array of classical and soundtrack channels:
