I'm about to invest in some recording equipment. Want to go digital, get a 12track, some mic's a computer and all of that. Well I was just wondering if any of you have suggestions on brand's for me.

I'm on a budget but will spend some money.

Thanks

Hi, CarbonSystem.
I have been shopping around for a digital multitrack that I can also use to mix and master to cd. These are the ones I've looked at, so far (all around $1,000):
Yamaha AW1600
Boss (Roland) BR1200 and BR1600
Tascam 2488
Zoom MRS1608
I'm not too sure about this Zoom one. I have read that their reputation for quality and customer support is pretty sorry. It is a little less costly than the others, though.

Well I just went out and purchased it today.

Tascam 1082 FW

It's the right fit for my system I believe, live recordings of bass, guitar, vocals, drums, etc. Blues/Rock.
