Okay guys, I'm looking for the title of an old Poco cut. The only lyrics I remember are:

If it seems
to you
that I am
(fading?)
Every time I try and talk to you
Word I'm speaking (something something something)
Then i end up thinking what can i do
Now you're slipping away something something something

Can anybody identify this song? I want to download it to my new ipod. Very Happy

This should be absolutely no help:

Absolutely all the lyrics to Poco songs

I thought it might be the lyrics to "Amy," but then, i can't find a copy of lyrics to that song. Good luck.

I Can See Everything

If it seems to you that I am fading

Everytime I try to talk to you
The words Im speaking distort the view
And then I end up thinkin what can I do
Now youre slippin away for a new

Always hoping that the day will come
When I can face it, wont have to run
When all there has been is yet to come
When I dont hide my face from the sun
And I know its myself its not you

I can see everything
Its all in your smile that brings
All of the special things about you
If you could feel the way
That I do today we could
Find us a better way to get through

Everytime I climb into your eyes
I get so wasted and hypnotized
But there is one thing you cant disguise
That youre slippin away for a new
Baby if I could control the time
Then I could stop it and redifine
Just what is real and how Ive been so blind
I could put all the words into rhyme
And I know its myself its not you
If it seems to you that I am fading

There was a lot of smoke back then, not all it from forest fires, but about the same thickness. After a few boxes of Vanilla Wafers had disappeared, Grand Funk Railroad sounded like the Grateful Dead who sounded like a bunch of guys in a garage who were imitating Poco who .... wait a minute .... is this Break up Letter Thread??

I want to live,
I want to give
I've been a miner
for a heart of gold.
It's these expressions
I never give
That keep me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.

I think I'd like to go
back home
And take it easy
There's a woman that
I'd like to get to know
Living there
Everybody seems to wonder
What it's like down here
I gotta get away
from this day-to-day
running around,
Everybody knows
this is nowhere.
Everybody, everybody knows
Everybody knows.
Every time I think about
back home
It's cool and breezy
I wish that I could be there
right now
Just passing time.
Everybody seems to wonder
What it's like down here
I gotta get away
from this day-to-day
running around,
Everybody knows
this is nowhere.
Everybody, everybody knows
Everybody knows.

If you're going to San Francisco
Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair
If you're going to San Francisco
You're gonna meet some gentle people there
