A PERVERT who filmed 30 women going for a pee before the start of the Great North Run was ?'arrested' ?- by a giant BANANA.
Sick Christopher Swyer, 29, took a camcorder into bushes where runners were relieving themselves because toilet queues were too long.
A husband saw him and gave chase ?- and he was caught by a runner dressed as a banana who held him until cops arrived.
Swyer faced jail last night after being convicted of voyeurism at Newcastle Crown Court. Prosecutor Tim Gitten told him: "You got sexual gratification from it."
The 13-mile half-marathon began in Newcastle last September. One of the women forced to pop into the woods said: "I glanced up and he was looking at me."
Swyer admitted filming 30 women but denied breaking the law, saying he did it as "it's not something you see every day".
But cops found more footage of women relieving themselves at outdoor events, at his home in Jarrow, South Tyneside.
He was bailed until sentencing but ordered to report to police when the next Great North Run takes place on October 1.
