BEIJING - A woman in Hohhot, the capital of north China's Inner Mongolia region, crashed her car while giving her dog a driving lesson, the official Xinhua News Agency said Monday.
No injuries were reported although both vehicles were slightly damaged, it said.
The woman, identified only be her surname, Li, said her dog "was fond of crouching on the steering wheel and often watched her drive," according to Xinhua.
"She thought she would let the dog 'have a try' while she operated the accelerator and brake," the report said. "They did not make it far before crashing into an oncoming car."
Xinhua did not say what kind of dog or vehicles were involved but Li paid for repairs.
Who knew there were at least two cars in Inner Mongolia?
I'm betting I know what Ms. Li had for supper that evening though!
Bad dog! Bad dog! Besides, the minimum age for driving is 16 and most dogs don't live that long.
i predict that she will be a strong finalist for a Darwin Award...
Last April my cat watched me do my income taxes, and was very helpful in holding papers down with his body.
Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
Yup, you sound like a smart businesswoman. Or should that be businessperson?
Last year my cat actually did my taxes for me and got me a bigger refund than my accountant.
Cats are really good at finding loopholes.
I wouldn't let one drive though.
Everyone knows that it's difficualt to teach a cat anything, much less drive a car. Dogs, on the other hand, should be more responsible behind the wheel.
I read a snippet in NEWS OF THE WORLD ABOUT THIS.
WRONG TURN,ROVER, it was called!
