Be honest about your scores, and record them here.
But I win - 'cos I found it!

I got 90% on the 60's one with the comment "an elderly relative could do better!"
Made me feel great it did!

You must be older than I thought, Joe?

hey, smorgs. Just wanted to make a comment.
One of the answers was wrong concerning the Beatles. They did do:
Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da
Writer, lead vocal: Paul McCartney
Just double checked it. Neat test, however.
100% on the sixties, I'm afraid to say.
Letty, "Marmalade" were the group to have a hit (in the UK, that is) with Ob la di, even though the Beatles may have written it. Maybe it was the Beatles that made a success with it in the States?
Way too brit-centric!
(I tried the 80's, got 40%. Phooey.)
Thanks, Ellpus. Although the test was designed for fun, like many of our standardized tests here, the choices are ambiguous. That's why I give them a jaundiced eye. (whatever that means) <smile>
60% for the 60s
70% for the 70s
70% for the 80s
60% for the 90s
I did great on questions about movies the songs were in. Loved the Dante question. (What does that have to do with music?)
80% 70's
80% 80's
60% 90's
I'm a fogey!
Got 95% for the 70's [getting more into my era, now, Smorgs! Thanx for that comment!!]
[I'll get you back!]
I just got 95% on the 80's as well. I'm giving up now!
No...
Do more Joe, I'm interested in your scores and am comparing...

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound bossy!
Well done, matgirl!
Are you still a shoulder pad wearing, bushy permed haired, jacket sleeves pushed up, pencil skirt wearing, swingy arm dancing kinda girl?
x

60's - 70%
70's - 65%
80's - 50%
90's - 55%
Many of the answers I got correct were random guesses.

Not chart positions stuff - who knows/cares what was a hit where you're not.
And Animal Nitrate should have been Suede's biggest hit.
60s 85
70s 85
80s 55
80s 50
(guess which decade I stopped listening to pop?)
I sucked so bad at every decade but the sixties that I gave up on all the rest. Got 95% on the sixties though!
