That site has incredible 1-meter resolution satellite photos of the lower 48 states (you can see cars)! You can just click on parts of the map to keep zooming in (not always the most accurate positioning this way), search by street address, search by longitude & latitude, or veiw a list of famous places like Disneyland or the Statue of Liberty.

Check out this photo of B-52's at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, 17 km SE of Tucson, Arizona.

I notice it only covers the US in any detail, however. Couldn't get a bird's eye view of Riga.

Amazing. And it covers the whole US!

Mapquest has aerial photos of some places, more recent than this survey and in color... the McDonald's near my house looks just like a large order of fries!
