Trademark company name? Has anyone done this? Is it needed?

Hello, I have finally incorporated. So, nobody else in my state can have my company name. BUT OTHER STATES can. So should i Trademark the company name? Has anyone else done this? Is it really necessary? (Trademarking is expensive!!). THanks so much.
