This morning my computer was stuck in restart.

I am in safe mode now, running trend micro.

I have run trend micro before, pc-illin and a few other things.
The problem is progressing and I am losing my computer.

Here is my hijak
wich i know is in a temporary folder, but being in safe mode is giving me a problem saving to its OWN file (?) dunno why?

Nothing malicious in that log - and it would be unusual for yuckware to present the symptoms you describe. I suspect a hardware or software problem - if software, perhaps a corrupt/incorrect video, audio, or other driver, an improper intall or uninstall of some other software (have you added or removed any programs recently?), or an update gone wrong.

Have you tried booting to "Last Known Good"?

A bootlog might point you toward your problem. Go to Start>Run, type, without the quotes, "msconfig", and click "OK" or hit "ENTER". Select the "BOOT.INI" tab, and click to select "/BOOTLOG", click "Apply", then "OK". Reboot, letting your machine attempt a normal boot. Once you've determined its not gonna boot (give it several minutes - 5 at least), shut it down, reboot into safe mode, locate the log (which will be at "%SystemRoot%:\Windows\ntbtlog.txt", where "%SystemRoot% is the drive on which you have Windows installed, typically Drive "C : \". Open the log with Notepad or any other text editor, and look for anything in the boot chain that reports "Failed" - if you find anything, that's a pretty good indication of where your problem might lie.

You could try a System Restore (Start>Run, type, without the quotes, "msconfig", select "Launch System Restore", then "Restore my computer to an earlier time"), selecting a restore point, preferably one labled "System Checkpoint" dated several days prior to the onset of your problem, clicking "OK" and followig the prompts.

You might wanna try System File Check. While in safe mode, with no other apps running, go to Start>Run, type (without the quotes) "sfc /scannnow" (note the space between "sfc and "/scannow", and note also the forward slash (/) and the 2 "n"s in "/scannow"), click "OK". A progress box should appear. During the process, you'll prolly be asked to insert your WinXP installation disk (and, since you have SP2, its gonna hafta be an install disc with SP2) so have one handy (a vendor's "Restore" disk won't work without some fiddling, but alternately, any WinXP SP2 install disk will - and actually, all that's needed is the I386 file from the install disk, which can be copied from any WinXP SP2 install disk, even a "Restore" disk, placed in a folder on your machine, and targeted manually when you are prompted for your install disk). When the process has completed, reboot, and see what happens.

If you have an actual WinXP SP2 install disk and your WinXP activation code, you could try an "In Place Windows Upgrade/Repair". That may allow Windows to load properly if driver, software or registry problems have rendered the system unbootable (Blue Screen, hanging, boot errors etc), and/or may repair/reinstall missing Windows components or solve otherwise quirky behavior. The system repair function will undo any updates you have previously installed which are not included on the Install Disc. All your drivers also will revert to the original versions as included on the Install Disc, and as some settings (network & performance settings may sometimes be reset to their defaults) will be rest to Windows Default. You'll most likely have to reactivate your copy of Windows, so make sure you have your Install Disc's valid Windows key.

Boot from the Install Disc. You may have to configure your machine's boot order to get it to boot from the CD; typically this can be done by tapping F8, or by hitting F2, F10 or F12 (depending on make/model of 'puter) immediately on the appearance of the POST (Power On Self Test) which preceeds the loading of Windows - consult your machine's documentation for specifics. Make sure the Windows Install disc you're using is the same version of Windows that is currently installed on your computer (XP Home cannot upgrade XP Professional, and vice-versa - and the Install CD must be the same Service Pack as your current Windows installation - in your case, SP2). Place the Install Disc in your Optical drive, then restart your computer.

Before the Windows logo appears, you will be asked to press any key to boot from CD; do so. A blue screen should appear and begin loading XP Setup from the disc. When presented with the "Windows Setup" screen, you will be asked to choose between "To setup Windows XP now, press ENTER" and "To repair a Windows XP installation using Recovery Console, pres R". Choose the FIRST option (hit "<ENTER>), NOT "Recovery Console". Next, you'll be presented with the EULA screen; hit F8 to agree and continue. Setup will then look for your existing WinXP installation, and once it has found it (which it should do if the existing installation is not badly damaged), it will ask you whether you wish "To repair the existing installation, press R" or "To continue installing a fresh copy of Windows XP without reparing, press ESC" - make sure you hit "R". From that point, it should appear Windows is installing just as it would for a fresh intall, but your data and most of your settings should be retained - if the repair is successful.

Again, if you do get things sorted out, immediately go to Windows Update and get current.
