One does try. It's a dirty, thankless job, but I've decided to take it on.

Before I came on the scene, that forum was a wasteland. Now, I've upgraded it to swampland.

One assumes, however, that this is not an unusual state for you.

Hi, my names smorgs, don't know if we have met? I usually stick around the less salubrious threads and company...

But I accasionally drift into the relationships thread, where I can be found giving sound advice to vulnerable members:

Q. How do I know if a girl is clean?

A. Sniff her

Q. Why do you masturbate?

A. Why does a dog lick it's own balls?

Q. Is he having an affair?

A. Probably - if you're always on the PC

Q. My husband is looking at porn!

A. Ooooh, what kind? Can I have the link?

Q. I'm a 30 year old virgin, and it feels cool

A. Fancy a shag? Oh, sorry, I'm a beat up old M.I.L.F

What the hell are you talking about woman? I'm as clear as mud!

Actually I'm laughing to myself because I've thought the same about you a time or two. I read a lot of posts and think to myself that I have a fondness for certain posters here and there, but I often forget that it might not show, since I don't actually type the words or give the feedback that a written forum needs. It's like the people who I am fond of should know it, but how can they if I never tell them?

I'm not the smartest cookie in the box and I've often felt lost in many threads, but I just hop off if my interest is not tweaked. I detest politics for the sheer nastiness and whingeyness that occurs in discussions on this subject - both online and IRL. Same thing with religion. People can be so inconsiderate of any opinions other than their own and I am more interested in learning a thing or two or sharing views without it boiling down to a knock-down-drag-out fight.

As for putting me in a list with dlowan and ehbeth, well I don't think I'm in their league. We certainly have conversed with each other and I am most fond of these two ladies (and I use the word 'ladies' loosely), I don't see very close similarities in our posts. If it's humor you mean, I guess I'm a looney goof at times and can find the weirdest things funny and just behave silly. It might not make sense to a lot of people but as long as one person is getting the joke (me) then I'll laugh crazily by myself!

As for you, there are times I identify with what you're saying like it's like me talking, and then there are other times when you post something and I think "is she off her rocker?" Maybe you don't have the same sense of humor. It's not like it's a problem. Humor is my favorite thing. I wish I was wittier but then, if I was, people around me would hang themselves!

Okay, this whole thread is making me feel better. For a while as a very new kid on the block I was feeling totally clueless. Should have "lurked" longer obviously as initially I didn't know enough to stay away from the conspiracy theorists Laughing Now I mostly hang around the humour or general threads (lurk around the political threads but keep my head down) and post occasionally in the word games area if only to get my post number up so I can PM (my bro as he never reads his e-mail -- djjd are you there? I'm Canparing a pkg tomorrow or Thursday -- heads up!) I'm really enjoying the wit and intelligence of opinions expressed here (not just sucking up Very Happy -- should be in the "why I like A2K" thread). Is anybody listening? Ah jeez , have I killed another thread?

You people don't know me...and I've forgotten why I'm here...

But I'd like to say, that I enjoy the fluff stuff, because I would just completely alienate anyone and everyone in the religion forums, so I tend to not occupy myself with that area. The political threads, well..I don't tend to keep up to snuff on such debates, and as Chai said, would come across as a 4 year old, so I stay out.

I don't tend to classify people, but rather group them together..kinda likened to Sesame Street...(which one's are not like the others)...lol

And I relate rather well to Chai and Shewolf, understand exactly what they have said when they say it...and what they mean. Sorry girls..but I do..lol

I won't lie, I have my moments when I'd like to pitch the computer over some statements, but I enjoy the place...

OK, I'm nimh and I admit I think both Chai and Heeven are funny most always.

I identify with the head-scratching at, say, Dlowan's sense of humor - not mine. Too harmless and whimsical for my taste I guess. I go more for the sharp-witted, right-on and a bit rude stuff. Which Chai is good at, and Heeven too.

But hey, its all good. Whatever works for anyone! 'S OK wit' me.

If the music make you move, cause you can really groove
Then groove on, groove on

If you feel like you wanna make love under the stars above
Love on, love on

If theres something you wanna say, and talkin is the only way
Rap on, oh, rap on

Cause whatever you do, oh, youve got to do your thing

If you feel like you wanna scream cause thats your way of lettin off steam
Scream on, scream on

If you feel like you wanna sing cause singing is your thing
Sing on, sing on

If you wanna make love all night and you feel its right
... Right on, right on

Oh and I've always been sort of dis-inclined to admit it, I adore Setanta but there are times (rare though they are) that I get a knee-jerk reaction to one or two of his posts where I want to smack him upside the head. Can't really explain that further because I think I am being unreasonable. Maybe it's because I don't understand something he's said or I'm impatient or whatever .... then a few second later, I adore him again! I am sure Set could give a crap anyways. He wouldn't care.

I love the humor of many people here and I guess I am more likely to go into one of their threads because I know it can be fun.

Nimh, what do you mean "funny most always"? I am friggin hilarious man! <slap>

Aha! I've just figured out what thread brought the frown to your face missus!

The fleas drumsticks?

I am not entirely sure (and do I really care) what dlowans post intended. I responded in my usual filthy minded way, in that the drumstick of a flea, she must have been indicating the dickus maximus of the little flea creature .... and what would it taste like? Well ... if the flea (and my mind thinks of a dog and his fleas) was banging it's host - the dog - then his weener would taste of "dog". Eh! Geddit?

Not quite as funny if explained, but apparently you are not as sicko as I had hoped. N'mind. Keep working on it.

Of all the very-quotable stuff in this thread this is the one I'm quoting, because I feel the same way.

I really admire some folks in here, if only for their online piece I get to know. But many of you might not know that.

*Changed to better show my feelings.
