It's a hot sumbitch

I just stepped inside to grab some more beer for my cooler. I have already gone through the first twelve-pack in a valiant effort to combat the intense rays of the sun which have been slowly baking me alive.

Just me and my lawn chair, some cold beer, and the incredibly warm embrace of the sun. That is what life is all about.

!03 degrees, according to my thermometer -- just the way I like it.

Call that hot? In Houston, we have to walk around with ice cubes in our hat to prevent spontaneous combustion.

I enjoy beer in hot or cold weather. Lucky for us here in Silicon Valley, it rarely gets over 100.

Gus, I have beer in the frig, and can get more if you come by. I'll sit a chair on my deck in the sun - just for you!

My word. It's hard to believe that it's only 92 degrees here in Florida. Shocked

It's in the low-eighties here. Some friends are joining us to attend the Mountain View buddhist church bazaar for dinner. It's an annual event for us. Wink

My wife has been using a new word today--oppressive. I was concerned she was talking about our marriage but she assured me it was the weather. Ninety nine degrees, a high humidity, little breeze. I just factored it all in my handy dandy 'feels like' gauge and it measures 328 degrees.

S'posed to be hotter today, 98 degs and humid. I've closed up the house and turned on the AC, something I only do when the forecast is for a long string of hot days - this qualifies.

same here, humidex adds about 5 degrees average to the daily temp, today it's supposed to be 99, it'll feel more like 106 probably

Just like that Gus. He's only back for a week and he's already bitching about a nice sunny day. What a crank!

I'd fry eggs on my hot roof, but it's against the law in Albuquerque.

I have to go out and water my tomato plants in pots before they wilt.
