Hi, my mom has sent me on another mission to find a song. I have tried looking on Limewire, however, I have had no luck. It is an old song, she said maybe from the 50's, and she thought the title was, forgive me if I spell this wrong, Sillohettes on the Shade. If any knows this song, who sings it, or what the real title is I would be so grateful for your help! Thanks for your time. Melissa
It's "Silhouettes" by The Rays (later done by Herman's Hermits).
(Frank C. Slay Jr. and Bob Crewe)
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah, hut-hut
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah, hut-hut
Took a walk and passed your house
Late last night
All the shades were pulled and drawn
Way down tight
From within, a dim light cast
Two silhouettes on the shade
Oh, what a lovely couple they ma-ade
Put his arms around your waist
Held you tight
Kisses I could almost taste
In the night
Wondered why I'm not the guy
Whose silhouette's on the shade
I couldn't hide the tears in my eye-eyes
Silhouettes (silhouettes)
Silhouettes (silhouettes)
Silhouettes (silhouettes)
Ty-oh, oh-oh
Silhouettes (silhouettes)
Silhouettes (silhouettes)
Silhouettes (silhouettes)
Ty-oh, oh-oh
[Instrumental Interlude]
Lost control and rang your bell
I was sore
Let me in or else I'll beat
Down your door
When two strangers who had been
Two silhouettes on the shade
Said to my shock
Your on the wrong blo-ock
Rushed down to your house with wings
On my feet
Loved you like I never loved
You my sweet
Vowed that you and I would be
Two silhouettes on the shade
All of our days
Two silhouettes on the sha-ade
Silhouettes (silhouettes)
Silhouettes (silhouettes)
Silhouettes (silhouettes)
Ty-oh, oh-oh
Silhouettes (silhouettes)
Silhouettes (silhouettes)
Silhouettes (silhouettes)
Ty-oh, oh-oh
Two silhouettes on the shade
Silhouettes
Thanks a million!!! I just couldn't seen to find that one. Until next time... Have a good night.
Song On Nokia Ad?
I was just wondering what was the title and artist of that song on the nokia ad (in Australia) with the words: "the girls want the boys and the boys want the girls"? Anyone have any idea?
If you do, it would be much appreciated.
its called "In the Middle" by the Sugar Babes...
