they've gotten a bit fussy about that lately - deported a fairly large group of Portuguese people who'd been here over 20 years - worked, owned homes and businesses etc
Hmm.. maybe I should clarify..
When I mean / say hopping over, I dont mean just driving over with no ID or anything like that.
What I am thinking... (?) is that I can obtain some sort of temporary ID like a passport, that will allow me to come and go without having to have a legal residency?
A visitors pass if you will.. hehe
Basically, what I am thinking , is that I can stop over in michigan for a few days, or a few months.. how ever long it takes.. to scout out a house, look at jobs, learn a city..e tc.
