Fast-food bandit removes mask during restaurant robbery

Orange County, CA - Investigators say a suspect in the robbery of a Southern California restaurant may be one of the stupidest criminals they've ever seen.

The man is accused of holding up a Jack in the Box fast-food restaurant this week just south of Los Angeles.

Investigators say surveillance video shows the suspect walk up to the counter, wearing a ski mask, sunglasses and surgical gloves. But the video shows the man taking off the mask and glasses, revealing his face, before demanding money from the clerk.

The clerk called 911, and was able to give police a detailed description of the suspect, who was arrested a short time later.
