:?: Need help finding out the title & author of a book....

Hi!

My mom mentioned a book from the 60s she lent someone, and that someone never gave it back... Don't we all experience that? She said something about a trip to Tibet/Himalayas, maybe an autobiography or diary of some sort... Meditative... Someone who was a drug addict and wanted to be cured... I'm not sure!

I don't want to ask her because her birthday is coming up and she might (with reason) suspect my intention to get it for her.

I'd be very grateful for any help!
