There's a time a for joy
A time for tears
A time we'll treasure through the years
We'll remember always
Graduation day
At the senior prom
We danced 'til three
And there you gave your heart to me
We'll remember always
Graduation day
Though we leave in sorrow
All the joys we've known
We can face tomorrow
Knowing we'll never walk alone
When the ivy walls
Are far behind
No matter where our paths may wind
We'll remember always
Graduation day
We'll remember always
Graduation day

The Beach Boys

Oh, yes. I remember graduation day, but amidst the pomp and circumstance there are some humorous thoughts. Each graduate was given a little gift that seemed to fit his/her personality. Mine was a package of nuts and bolts with which to secure my head firmly to my shoulders. Should you be graduating today, what gift of frivolity would you receive?

The daughter of our very good friends, graduated this am with her masters in teaching (wonderful). The whole masters thing started with the Mrs getting her to volunteer at the Elem School., next thing you know she's applied to work on her masters and did all her work there at the same school. Now 2nd funny thing!! Well I think so. We have the younger brother at the school now reading to kids now also - he's a freshman in college. Wonder what's going to happen..... TBC

Ah, husker, but the question was: What gift would you have been given upon graduation?

Nevertheless, in spite of everything, teaching is still a wonderful and rewarding profession, inside the classroom and outside as well.

Well I got a camera - today I suppose I'd ask folks to not give me anything rather support someone, be a mentor, a guide, just make a difference.

New Haven, I was so darn glad to graduate from high school, that I didn't look back once. Wow, what a marvelous experience it was to be in college and realize what a totally different environment it was.

Actually though, what I was really after, was what silly gift might you have gotten in those days? The fact that the committee gave me a pack of nuts and bolts simply affirmed what I already knew. I was eternally losing everything because my power of concentration was so strong, that incidental things like pencils, paper, eye glasses were irrelevant, and what's more, I'm still that way. Smile

To be very honest, I'can't remember what happened at my high school graduation. I think I've lost my diploma. I remember my college graduation, however. It was very hot in Chicago. Twisted Evil
