I'll bet this sort of stuff will start a trend. Someone will do something wacky, get 15 seconds of fame, and then sell it on eBay for a profit.

As for the idiot ex-boyfriend, doesn't he realize that once you give something to somebody, it's no longer yours, and the new owner can do what they like with it?

Man Wants to Stop Streaker's Bikini Sale

WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) - A woman who dashed into an international rugby match wearing a skimpy bikini was fined for disorderly behavior - but her online auction of the garment already had drawn a bid more than 10 times the fine.

Lisa Lewis ran onto the field during a rugby match between New Zealand and Ireland last weekend before being escorted away by security guards.

When her case was called in the Hamilton Magistrate's Court on Friday, Lewis was convicted of disorderly behavior and fined $206.

"I'm happy, eh, I thought it was going to be a lot more," she told National Radio, adding "if I was in court I would have jumped up and given the judge a hug."

Lewis said she "couldn't believe the judge was so forgiving."

Earlier this week, Lewis began an online auction of the bikini to help pay the fine, and just hours before it was due to close Friday, bids for the garment had reached $2,496.

"I'm just blown away" by the support from "people who don't even know me and can be so forgiving about my past," the former stripper told National Radio.

Lewis said she was still hoping for an invitation to Saturday's second rugby test "and I'll even tie myself to the chair" to prevent any streaking.

A man who identified himself as Lewis' former boyfriend claimed he bought the bikini for her and told a newspaper he wanted the online auction halted. If not, he said, the proceeds should go to him.

This kind of thing was addressed on an episode of Cops I saw recently. A woman had kicked her boyfriend out of their apartment, and while he was getting his things out of their place, she tried to stop him from taking a ski jacket that she had given him for a birthday, claiming that since she had given it to him it was hers. The officers told her that once it was given as a gift, she no longer had any legal claim to it.
What some people will do for money.

She had already thrown half of his stuff in the dumpster by the time the police arrived, and he left without some of the things she had given him as gifts since she was complaining about every last one of them (he said he'd take her to small claims court for it). The segment ended with him in the dumpster tossing around the garbage looking for his things.
I wasn't sure if I should laugh or not. So I chuckled. Couldn't help it.

Both "Cops" and shows like "Judge Judy" et al, should be watched with a big bowl of popcorn. Laughing

And your significant other by your side. And be sure to have a pre-nup handy. Spring it on her during a commercial break. "You know, honey, watching that dude get arrested picking up that girl that turned out to be a guy reminded me, we need to talk about some things . . ."
