I remember the fragrance of Wisk from way back when I was a very young girl. When we first came back from Iceland we lived in Balitmore with my grandparents and my grandmother had a wringer washing machine. For those who don't know what that is, it's an open tub of warm water mixed with Wisk and the air is infused with a scent of love and motherly love. It made me feel safe...it still does. The sounds of that machine are now lost, I doubt anyone remembers what those machines sounded like.
