Got a form letter from my home owners insurance the other day saying....sorry, we sent you a letter previously saying we had based this years premium on your credit rating. This is to inform you we did not do that. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Without thinking much about it ever, I was aware that this was done, and I think can also be done in offering employment.

Why?

I'm sure the short answer if "Because they can" Rolling Eyes

However, I guess I don't see the relationship if you've always paid for years your premiums, pay your mortgage, never late, and your credit score.....I see, I have a large debt, so you're going to give me more.

It more disturbs me even more that an employment offer could hinge on this.
Criminy, the person needs the job to pay his debt.

I agree, Chai.
We're sitting already in a glass cage with the government, but it seems
every Smith and Miller can infringe on our privacy whenever they please
to.

Credit report institutions should be obliged to get a consent from you, if somone is requesting your credit report. The very least, they would
need to notify you of the request.
