What is the best subject a song should be about? Or am I the only one who cares about what the lyrics say?

their is no "right" subject for a song. Write a song that moves you. if your trying to write a song based on a subject that someone has chosen for you then there is no soul to your music. you have to write what makes you feel good or bad inside. the reason i say that is because look at any great band that was awsome when they started ok? now look at them after they got real big and started to suck. now do you know why they started to suck? well i do, their new managers or promoters gave them guide lines and bylaws to follow when writing their music and it was no longer theirs it was this new mass produced product that sucked. So just write what you feel is right and in the end it will be better then any subject handed to you by someone else.

I'm just looking for others' opinions. Sorry if that wasn't clear.
